New Branch Manager for London & SE

Town and Country Flooring has recently appointed a Branch Manager and Trainee Contracts Manager serving London & the South East.

Peter Bradley recently joined Town & Country Flooring as Branch Manager of the London & SE Branch.  Due to the steady client base and number of quotes being produced, he has been joined by a Trainee Contracts Manager, Hazel King.  It is envisaged this branch will continue to develop and therefore so will need to recruit other staff in order to maintain the high level of service.

Former Director retires after over 30 yrs in the industry

Town & Country Flooring have to announce that John Bufton, Branch Manager of St Ives has decided to take early retirement and will leave our employ at the end of February 2008.  As many of you will know, John was one of the founder Directors of the company and he helped build the company's reputation within the flooring industry, one based on professionalism and service of its staff. 

John has been a great asset to the company and the Directors would like to thank him for all his support and guidance he has given them since taking over in the business in 2005.  At a retirement party on Friday, 15th Ferbuary, John was presented with a laptop and a framed carpet knife with work colleague signatures.

New branch in the north of England

Town & Country Flooring opened a branch in Peterlee in 2006 to expand the network of branches into the north of England.  

This branch is run by Geoff Hobson who brought with him a wealth of experience and knowledge of the flooring industry within the North of England.  He is supported by an administrator and a team of fitters, all providing an excellent level of professionalism and service.  The business has grown considerably over the last year due to the acquisition of new build work with partners such as Bryant Homes, as well as continuing the maintenance work for the Ministry of Defence on their numerous sites within the North of England.

Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation

Town & Country Flooring has recently become the local ESPO preferred supplier for the East Anglia/East Midlands area for all their flooring requirements. 

ESPO deals with local schools, local authorities, care homes etc providing all their facilities needs. All ESPO enquiries/orders are initially monitored by our Business Unit Manager, Clare Stevens who in turn distributes them to other Branch Managers as necessary, including St Ives and Wymondham to prepare relevant quotations and/or undertake the work.  

Woburn Safari Park

Town & Country Flooring’s Wolverhampton Branch have recently completed installing the flooring requirements for a Woburn Safari Park project

Within the grounds of Woburn Abbey stands the Deer Park and adjacent Safari Park.  Within the Safari park they decided to develop a purpose built area for children under 10 to play safely indoors based on the theme of Noah’s Ark, split into two levels – ground floor a large play area and restaurant; first floor party rooms and access to exterior gallery. 

Town & Country Flooring were chosen to undertake this work due to its ability to work to extremely tight timescales.  We were given the task of laying luxury wood effect safety flooring to give the appearance of decking and an Amtico walkway offering the appearance of a river leading to all of the external doors.
